We’re looking for a talented and energetic Senior Account Executive to join our Dallas team located in the Knox/Henderson area. Ideal candidates will have solid media relations, social media and client management experience, as well as strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. They will also have an interest in working with business-to-business clients and be self-starters with the ability to confidently interact with media, clients and account teams. The candidate will work closely with our team on projects for clients in a range of industries including commercial real estate, finance and engineering, including cause marketing initiatives.

Support senior leadership in fulfilling client PR programs
Serve as a day-to-day client contact, proactively devising new ways to meet clients’ strategic needs
Learn clients’ businesses and business goals, gain understanding of their competitive environments
Develop written materials, including PR plans, press releases, media advisories, byline articles, award submissions, speeches and client correspondence
Develop story ideas and topic angles for pitching and pitch media for earned coverage
Attend client events and coordinate media on site
Coach clients for media interviews
Provide thoughtful recommendations and project management support for client projects
Monitor media outlets and understand industry-related issues that directly and indirectly affect the client, and provide meaningful insights into coverage and news trends
Leverage existing media/editorial/journalistic contacts; readily develop new relationships on local, regional and national levels, including trade outlets
Conduct social media activities and provide consultation as part of client programs; continuously learning new methods and technologies
Leverage influencers (e.g. bloggers, those with a strong social media presence, celebrities, etc.) to impact clients’ brand and programs
Maintain careful attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of materials, contacts, schedules, etc.
Develop an understanding of various research methods; coordinate internal and external resources in implementing research projects
Assist junior staff with project management, media relations, social media and more
Promote teamwork by teaching junior staff and interns, delegating as possible
Assist with managing Dala’s internship program, including hiring and training, throughout each school semester
Manage clients’ budgets and provide other account and financial management
Participate in client and new business presentations
Actively participate in ongoing professional development, learning new skills and expanding personal capabilities
Minimum B.A/B.S. in public relations, journalism, marketing or related field
Four - six years of experience, preferred in an agency setting, with track record of success of client and project management
Aptitude to learn quickly and thrive in fast-paced environment
Demonstrated writing ability in AP style
Successful track record of working with traditional and social media
