Springboard to Success: Build Your Marketing Toolbox

March 2014The Greater East Dallas Chamber hosted its monthly luncheon on March 18 featuring C. Pharr’s Leah Ekmark Williams, APR, to speak about how to “Springboard to Success: Build Your Marketing Toolbox.” More than 75 chamber members and guests attended the lunch to hear from Williams as she outlined best practices and strategies for public relations and social media campaigns. Attendees in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer industries walked away with insight and tips. During her presentation, Williams outlined the following:

  • Media relations strategy insight - learn how to generate publicity and build your brand's thought leadership profile.
  • Should social media and advertising be part of your integrated marketing mix?
  • What social media channel(s) are right for your business? Learn how to be strategic and amplify your message.

“With today’s world of constantly changing communication mediums, outlining your goals and setting a strategy is the first step to getting your PR and social media campaigns started on the right foot,” explained Williams. “Your strategy should include a mix of traditional and online media and it must align with and support your marketing plan to be truly successful. An integrated marketing communication plan will amplify your brand’s thought leadership profile and will help deliver ‘your story’ in a compelling manner.”
