Lesley Berry brings 20+ years of sports marketing, communications, and branding experience to Dala Communications. Serving 14 seasons, with the last three as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Dallas Mavericks, Lesley oversaw all marketing, advertising, communications, community and player relations for the team and 18-player roster.

Lesley joined the Dallas Mavericks as a marketing intern. Prior to becoming the first female vice president in Dallas Mavericks history, she held positions as marketing coordinator, marketing and player relations manager, and director of marketing and player relations. She was a part of the organization during the 2006 NBA Finals run, 2010 NBA All-Star game in Dallas, and the 2010-2011 NBA Champion season, in which she holds a championship ring as a Mavs employee.

After her tenure with the Dallas Mavericks, she spent three years with NBA Hall of Fame and 21-year Mavericks franchise player Dirk Nowitzki as Director of the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and DN Companies. Her focus involved brand security and management, publicity and marketing, event planning, and social responsibility with an emphasis on creating a lasting impact and legacy in the community. Notable moments include the formation of DN Companies, Dirk Nowitzki Foundation Annual Tennis Classic, Nowitzki’s final playing season “41.21.1”, as well as Dallas’s Nowitzki Way street naming ceremony.

Lesley’s expertise includes success and leadership in relationship management, brand awareness, community engagement, interpersonal communication and teamwork skills, and big picture thinking. A Dallas native, Lesley now raises her four young children with her husband in the East Dallas area where she grew up. As her kids grow and continue their own select sports journey, she will help her children pave the way as they navigate their personal athlete branding.
